Henrietta pins a loss on Bowie JV

The Bowie High School junior varsity football team suffered its first loss of the season on Thursday night at Jackrabbit Stadium, losing 22-8.
The Jackrabbits are 2-1 heading in next week’s game at Pottsboro. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
Bowie twice had the ball inside the red zone during the first half, but couldn’t quite punch it in.
The Jackrabbits didn’t score until 4 minutes, 33 seconds of the fourth quarter when Dustin VanWay scampered off right end on a touchdown run. Bret Davis added the two-point conversion. Read more of this story, and see complete statistics in the weekend edition of The Bowie News.
