Ready to get a little spooky!
The spirit of Fall and Halloween are making their way downtown this October as Main Street Bowie hosts a window decorating contest for downtown merchants.
Cash prizes will be awarded in two categories: Retail and non-retail. All participating merchants must submit their contest registration forms to the Main Street Office no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 16.
Judging will take place on Oct. 20. Read all about the contest in your weekend News.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
