Bowie Police tracking several leads in business burglaries

Published

on

Bowie Police said they have received some “good leads” related to several business burglaries that occurred early last week.

Lt. Randy Hanson said they have received information on two similar burglaries that occurred in Gainesville and Marietta, OK. It appears the suspects are simply driving through towns and looking for possible locations to burglarize.

“The surveillance video at Bowie Butane appears to show the same suspects and vehicles from the out-of-town burglaries. We are following up with those agencies. There are some good leads and hopefully they will pan out,” said the detective.

Bowie Butane’s complaint from Jan. 18 was originally noted as criminal mischief, but changed to attempted burglary. Police believe the burglars moved down the street and broke into Allen’s Texaco.
