HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Whitesboro tops Bowie JV

The Bowie High School junior varsity baseball team suffered a 10-5 loss to Whitesboro on Saturday at the Tournament of Legends at the outdoor sports complex.
Riley Partridge was Bowie’s starting pitcher.
Juan Mares singled and then scored on a single and three-base error during Cooper Huffstutler’s at-bat, giving Bowie a 2-0 lead.
Whitesboro responded by pushing five runs across in the second inning.
Jesse Davis smacked a lead-off double, stole third and scored on an error in the bottom of the same frame, cutting Whitesboro’s lead to 5-3. Read more in the March 2 Bowie News.
