HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS: Price garners No. 1 girls’ singles title

The Bowie High School tennis teams were in action at the Mineral Wells Tournament on Thursday.
The No. 1 doubles team consisting of Meagan and Myah Russell placed first in their bracket. The Russells qualified for the state tournament a year ago.
No. 1 singles player Katelin Price was tops in her bracket. Price won all of her matches, including one with a 7-3 tie-breaker win.
Also in singles, Stephanie Crawford came away with the consolation championship.
Clayton Ogg competed in boys’ singles, dropping both of his matches. Zach Logan and Spencer Hopson and Landon Woolf and Christian Sanchez won one match apiece in boys’ doubles.
