Wildlife seminars planned in county
Join the Texas Wildlife Association and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service as they sponsor a series of lunchtime webinars on the third Thursday of every month.
These webinars will provide sound, science-based information about wildlife, habitat and natural resource management. Whether one is a landowner, land manager, hunter or wildlife enthusiast, there is something in this webinar series for everyone.
This is an excellent chance to learn with others via an internet presentation.
March 17 Identifying Predation on Wildlife and Livestock will be presented by John Tomecek,Ph.D., Texas A&M Agrilife Extension and Wildlife.
Programs will be at Wellington State Bank, 800 Wise Street in Bowie from noon-1 p.m. RSVP by March 14 for a catered lunch with a $20 fee.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
