HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Red-hot City View tops Bowie

The Bowie High School softball team surrendered four runs to Wichita Falls City View in the top of the first.
And the Lady Rabbits could never completely recover from that as the Lady Mustangs prevailed with an 8-5 victory in District 3A-9 action on Tuesday.
Bowie head coach Brant Farris said the girls didn’t focus well early in the game.
“That was a little frustrating,” Farris said. “City View is hitting the ball a lot better (than the first time Bowie faced them).”
City View is the hottest team in the district right now, with four straight victories.
Meanwhile, Bowie dropped to 16-9-2, and fell out of a tie for first place with Boyd. The Lady Jackets stand at 9-2 while the Lady Rabbits are now 8-3.
There’s a lot of pressure on Bowie moving forward, with a tough schedule against Paradise this past Friday followed by a game at Henrietta on Monday and then Senior Night at home versus Holliday on April 22.
