HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD: Patrick earns pole vault gold

The Saint Jo High School girls’ track and field team scored 29 points for seventh place at the Lindsay Invitational on Thursday.
The Prairie Valley boys also scored well with 24 points for seventh place with their gender.
Bellevue and Gold-Burg also competed at the meet, including Bellevue scoring 39 points for fifth place in the junior varsity division.
Alec Ducharme scored points for Prairie Valley in a couple of events, with fourth place in the long jump at 18-feet, 7-inches, and he also was fourth in the high jump at 5-6. Chase Edwards also jumped 5-6 for the Bulldogs, and placed fifth.
Prairie Valley was fifth in the 400-meter relay and sixth in the 800 relay.
Anthony Roof was fifth and Dakota McClain sixth in the pole vault to round out the Bulldogs’ top performances.
Sarah Patrick paced Saint Jo in the pole vault, marking at 8-6, with teammate Caitlyn Holley fourth.
Saint Jo was fourth in the 400 relay and fifth in both the 800 and 1,600 relays.
Gold-Burg’s girls scored points in the discus, with Genevieve Hanna fifth (71-10) and Shelby Horton sixth (71-4). Read more in the March 30 Bowie News.
