LOCAL: Bowie pool opens

The City of Bowie pool located inside Pelham Park will be open starting on June 4 with “Splash Day.”
“Splash Day” will run from 1-6 p.m., with free swimming.
The summer recreation program will start at 8 a.m. on June 6. The program runs weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon, and will run through July 1.
The cost is $2 per day.
Swimming lessons will take place from May 31 through June 3.
Lessons are available for children three years old and up. The cost is $24.
Session times are at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., the final time slot if needed.
