LOCAL GOLF: Everitt fires new course record

Ron Everitt shot a new record score at Twisted Oaks Golf Club on Thursday. Everitt fired a 66.
The previous best score was David Sappington’s 69 set on May 27.
Twisted Oaks was reconfigured to its new design earlier this year.
Fourth of July scramble
Twisted Oaks Golf Club will be the site of a special tournament at 8 a.m. on July 4.
This will be a special “Fourth of July” scramble.
The cost is $100 per team.
Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served after the completion of golf.
The tournament will be flighted after the first nine holes, and there will be a cash payout based on the number of players.
