EVENT: Walker Stallcup Memorial Scholarship meal set for Friday
There will be a barbecue dinner on April 28 benefitting the Walker Stallcup Memorial Scholarship Fund.
It’s just part of a big night of events at Bowie High School.
Take-out orders will be available from 4:30-7:30 p.m., and people may dine in from 5-8 p.m.
The cost is $12 per plate at the door, $10 per play with advance ticket sold by the Bowie High School baseball team.
Competition cooks Tiny “Big Taste” Garrett and Cole Walker will provide the food – brisket, ribs, German sausage and all of the rest of the trimmings – baked beans, potato salad, pickles, onions, bread and iced tea or water.
There also will be homemade desserts, including bread pudding.
The barbecue also will feature the music of Kevin Polk and J.D. Clark.
Bowie baseball will play Paradise, with Senior Night festivities taking place.
