Citizens encourage council to work more positively, less negatively

Three citizens made public comments during Monday’s meeting urging the Bowie City Council to pursue positivity and not negative.
Thomas Eanes apologized for his outburst at the prior council meeting when he called out from the audience; however, he said he was passionate about his community and he wants it to grow and prosper to become the best it can be.
He explained he wanted to bring his son to a small town where he could grow up to create lifelong friends like he did.
“There has been a lot of negativity on the internet and in the community. The negativity is tearing the community apart. The council is young, the mayor is one of the best we have had, I see great things can come from what we have if we put aside our differences, personal agendas and what you can get for yourself instead of what we can do for the City of Bowie,” said Eanes.
