Meet the Rabbits and Midnight Madness schedule
The Bowie Jackrabbits fall sports teams will have its Meet the Rabbits Night before the first padded football practice, accurately called Midnight Madness, takes place on Aug. 8.
Meet the Rabbits will start at 8 p.m. and introduce individuals taking part in football, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading and band. Scheduled is a father/son tug-of-war for the football team among other types of games for athletes to have fun. That will be followed by the girls’ powderpuff football games split up by grades to see which class of girls will reign supreme in flag football.
The football team will then strap on the pads in its first padded practice of the season and the first true tackling drills begin at midnight.
