Nocona ex-students plan triennial events
The Nocona High School Ex-Students’ Association is finalizing plans for the 2022 Triennial Homecoming festivities scheduled for Sept. 23-25.
The committee is currently accepting nominations for the NHS Hall of Honor. Submissions may be made by anyone and should include a complete resume of the ex-student’s accomplishments. It may be mailed to Paula Admire Webb, Class of 1971, #4 N. Osage Ct., Nocona, TX, 76255 or email: [email protected].
Deadline for nominations is June 1. Criteria for nominations is as follows: Must have attended Nocona High School; must meet one or more of the following: A. Received state and/or national recognition for achievements in his or her chosen field or profession; B. His or her contribution to the betterment of mankind, and/or: C. An act of courage or bravery in service to his or her country.
Recipients will be recognized during the program on Sept. 24.

Enjoy a fish fry and live music concert on Jan. 4 all to support the 4-H and FFA youth of Montague County as they compete in the annual youth fair.
The annual Bowie fish fry for the Bowie buyers group will begin serving at 5:30 p.m. at the Bowie Community Center. Cost is $10 per plate. There will be a live auction at 7 p.m.
The evening’s concert will feature Dax Davis. Live music begins at 8:30 p.m. with the Davis concert at 9:30 p.m. Cost for the concert is $25 per ticket and $20 for a student, or $300 for a reserved table for eight.
