SBA team in Montague to assist local storm victims with disaster relief

Staff from the Small Business Administration is set up on the third floor of the Montague County Courthouse through May 25 to assist property owners, homeowners and tenants who suffered financial loss due to the March 21, 2022 tornado.
They will be available 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays through May 25. Deadline to apply for property damage is July 5 and Feb. 6 for economic injury.
If you’d like to donate to The Montague County Disaster Recovery Board, you may mail donations to Montague County Disaster Recovery Board, P. O. Box 546, Nocona, TX 76255. Or, donate via PayPal to our email address: [email protected]
The board continues to coordinate with the Texas Department of Emergency Management, Federal Emergency Management Agency and other agencies to bring relief to the storm’s victims.

Bowie fish fry to assist youth fair sales on Jan. 4

Enjoy a fish fry and live music concert on Jan. 4 all to support the 4-H and FFA youth of Montague County as they compete in the annual youth fair.
The annual Bowie fish fry for the Bowie buyers group will begin serving at 5:30 p.m. at the Bowie Community Center. Cost is $10 per plate. There will be a live auction at 7 p.m.
The evening’s concert will feature Dax Davis. Live music begins at 8:30 p.m. with the Davis concert at 9:30 p.m. Cost for the concert is $25 per ticket and $20 for a student, or $300 for a reserved table for eight.
