Commissioners meet Dec. 3, courthouse closes for employee party

Montague County Commissioners will meet in called session at 9 a.m. on Dec. 3 to discuss employing a project manager for its grant projects.

Discussions will take place in executive session with any action taking place when they reconvene into open session.

The county is expecting to receive a large amount of Federal Emergency Management Administration grant funds to help with May flooding road repairs. To help keep all this separate from infrastructure funding the court is considering a part-time worker.

OFFICE CLOSING – The Montague County Courthouse and annex will be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 for the annual employee Christmas party.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter

Repairs prompt boil order

A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
