HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Bowie girls drop to No. 19 in 3A TABC poll

The Bowie High School girls’ basketball team has had a target on them in recent games, and last Tuesday was no exception.
Nocona defeated Bowie 55-53, and that put a dent in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Conference 3A rankings from the Lady Rabbits’ perspective.
Bowie dropped from 10th to 19th overall, despite Friday’s convincing bounce-back victory over Jacksboro. The Lady Rabbits stand at 23-8 overall, 12-1 in District 3A-9.
The team will face Whitesboro in the bi-district round of the Conference 3A playoffs next Monday.
Wall (26-4) stands atop the 3A girls’ poll with Shallowater second. Brock stands fifth, Alba-Golden is eighth and Jim Ned 12th. See more rankings in the Feb. 10 Bowie News.
