BMH board meeting cancelled; CEO feels confident about sale once a few items are resolved
Friday’s scheduled Bowie Hospital Authority Board meeting to consider the pending sales contract was cancelled due to finalizing some of the items in the agreement.
Chief Executive Officer Lynn Heller said Friday morning there was still a question remaining about the Medicare provider status which should have already been dealt with by the attorneys.
“Faraz will be here this afternoon and I hope to get it clarified, and also to talk with the attorneys via the phone to get it fixed. I feel confident we will move forward,” said Heller. Read more on this story in the weekend News.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
