Expired, unused medicine drop-off date Sept. 27

Published

on

After a successful first year where 67 pounds of unused and expired medications were collected, Bowie Police are initiating a second collection day, and unveiled a new collection bin that will be available on a permanent basis at the police department.

Last year a drop-off day was conducted  where four boxes totaling 67 pounds of old and unused medicines were collected. Police Chief Guy Green said the program was initiated by the Drug Enforcement Agency and CVS had offered to provide a location.

The next drop-off day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bowie Police Department in the lobby. After which, a newly donated disposal bin will be located permanently in the police offices.
