“Life is not about living forever, but creating something that will.” – Chuck Palahniuk
It is a quote longtime Bowie firefighter and Bowie High School graduate Rayse Richardson, is living by as he creates a nonprofit to help those fighting cancer.
The nonprofit is appropriately named Faithful and Fearless, traits Richardson has shown during his own battle with brain cancer.
“It’s what it takes to get through troubled times, along with a lot of time on your knees praying, and the friends and family who support and pray for you,” said Richardson. “I, along with my friends and family, started the organization while I was undergoing treatment. It’s not just a nonprofit organization to me, it’s a part of me.”
The organization will sell T-shirts, hats and stickers with a logo hand drawn by Richardson.
“No matter what, Faithful and Fearless will always be around to help cancer patients who don’t have the means to go through treatment. With this, I hope everyone will be a part of our family and spread the word,” said Richardson.
