Texoma Gives 2017 to assist 14 Montague County nonprofits

Published

on

Texoma Gives is a 16-hour day of giving that provides critical funding for area nonprofits including 14 Montague County groups.
Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation is partnering with area nonprofits to give thousands of donors from every community in a 24-county area of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma a chance to raise funds for local needs.
The purpose of an area-wide day like Texoma Gives is to bring the region together on one day and as one community, raising money and awareness for Texoma nonprofits. This initiative, organized by Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation (WFACF), provides citizens an on-line http://www.texomagives.org/ to find and support nonprofit organizations whose missions align with their passions.
Montague County nonprofits that will be part of Texoma Gives include: Easy Street Shelter, Nocona; Lucky Paws Animal Shelter, Saint Jo; Stonewall Saloon Museum, Saint Jo; Tales ‘N Trails Museum, Nocona; Saint Jo Public Library, A Hand Up Nocona Ministries; Nocona Rural Volunteer Fire Department; Vashti Volunteer Fire Department; Bowie Alliance for Education and the Arts; Charis Hills, Sunset; Clear Choice PRC, Bowie; Nocona Playground Project; James Bruner TK Ranch, Sunset; and the Nocona Senior Citizens Center.
