Santa’s Mailbox is now open at The Bowie News
It is Santa letter time at your Bowie News. Forms for kids to write their letters to Santa are available at local schools, as well as the News office at 200 Walnut Street. You also are welcome to write your own letter.
Drop letters off in Santa’s mailbox on the south side of the News office. Deadline for letters is Dec. 1. Letters will be published in the Dec. 24 holiday greetings edition.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
