City of Saint Jo begins work on major water line improvement
City of Saint Jo aldermen began the process of setting the course for water line improvements in the community during their regular monthly meeting Wednesday.
“It’s a huge step for us,” Chris Stewart, mayor pro-tem, said during the meeting. Stewart ran the meeting in place of Mayor Dustin Anderson, who was absent. A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
