Bowie Council reviews 14 applicants; interviews set Dec. 1
Bowie City Council members will review a total of 14 applicants for the city secretary position and submit their rankings of those candidates to the city manager by Monday.
That decision was made in a called session of the council Thursday afternoon, where each councilor was given a copy of the applications. After the rankings determine a top five list of candidates, they will be contacted for interviews on Dec. 1. Read the full story in the weekend News.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
