Man jailed for allegedly selling weed across from BJHS

A 53-year-old Bowie man was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone.
Sgt. Bob Blackburn said based on a distribution investigation a search warrant was executed at the home located at 304 N. Mill where they believed marijuana was being sold. He pointed out the home is located next door to a nursery school and across the street from the junior high.
David Navarrette was arrested on a complaint of possession of marijuana two to four ounces in a drug-free zone, a state jail felony.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today.
