Can spring be very far away?
Can spring really be that far away when the bright yellow daffodils pop out? While we hope so, spring is still a ways off and the weather forecast is predicting possible snowy mix on Tuesday. During the week of Feb. 20 last year a big ice storm hit North Texas. The first official day of spring is March 20 and Daylight Savings Time arrives on March 10. Daffodils, Flowering Quince and Hyacinths are many of the early risers around local gardens.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
