Small plane crashes, two injured

Two people received “non-life-threatening injuries Thursday after they were involved in a plane crash in northern Montague County.
Department of Public Safety Information Officer Dan Buesing said the crash of the small, single-engine plane occurred about 5 p.m. north of Saint Jo off of Cobb Hollow Road.
Montague, Nocona and Saint Jo Fire Department personnel responded, and two people were transported for medical treatment.
Those in the plane were pilot John Irving and passenger Donald White, both of Denton. On Friday there was no update on their condition. Buesing said the cause of the crash is possible engine failure. The Federal Aviation Administration was expected on-site Friday to investigate.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter

Repairs prompt boil order

A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
