Full house greets council as they discuss Bowie Hospital Authority
An overflow crowd of nearly 60 people, mostly Bowie Memorial Hospital employees and staff, attended tonight’s Bowie City Council meeting as the council discussed with legal counsel the Bowie Hospital Authority.
Several members of the audience spoke out urging the council to do all it could to save the hospital for closure. The council went out into closed executive session at 6:12 and returned almost two and a half hours later. No action was taken when they came back into open session.
