Bowie draws Pool D at NCTC tournament

The Bowie High School volleyball team has been placed in Pool D at the North Central Texas College tournament slated for Gainesville on Aug. 21 and 23.
Gunter, Gainesville and the Lindsay junior varsity will join Bowie in Pool D.
Callisburg, Denton Ryan, Melissa and Denison will all comprise Pool A. Whitesboro, Celina, Godley and Anna make up Pool B. Pottsboro, Lindsay, Aubrey and Iowa Park are all in Pool C.
Bowie will play Gainesville at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21, followed by Gunter at 3 p.m. and Lindsay JV at 5 p.m.
There will be a concession stand for players.
All matches will be best two-out-of-three to 25 points, and the victorious squad must win by two.
The top two teams in each pool advance to the championship bracket while the bottom two advance to the challenger’s bracket.
Trophies will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams as well as consolation champion.
