COLLEGE FOOTBALL: MSU picked second
Midwestern State University was picked second in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll released on July 28.
The Mustangs accumulated 254 voting points, which was behind front-runner Texas A&M-Commerce (269).
The preseason poll reflects the opinions of league coaches, sports information directors and media representatives.
Texas A&M-Commerce won the league championship last season with an unblemished 6-0 record. The team earned 19 of 28 first-place votes, with MSU taking eight and Texas-Permian Basin one.
