City of Saint Jo hires new police officer
City of Saint Jo Aldermen officially named Michael Montgomery as a new police officer after deliberations in executive session on Wednesday evening. Montgomery most recently was a police officer in Nocona. The department has been short one officer, as Steven Bret Nabors is on paid administrative leave following an arrest earlier this month for complaints of official oppression. The staff of Wise Hope Shelter and Crisis Center Montague County will present a candlelight vigil for Domestic Violence Awareness Month at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 in the Legend Bank courtyard. The public is invited to attend.
