Saint Jo City Council hears complaints about drainage problems

The Saint Jo City Council met on Wednesday to discuss a myriad of issues, but plenty of the talk centered on recent heavy rains and the damage that ensued.
Property owner Carla Hennessey gave the city a pair of estimates she received for replacing carpet at a home located at 607 South Broad.
Hennessey reported during the meeting sewage backed up into the property’s plumbing – the bathtub, sinks and toilets – during a heavy rain event on May 7. Read the full story in the weekend News.

The Bowie Independent School District has issued the following open letter to community regarding negotiations with four other districts who pick up students inside this district and take them to their schools.
