Bowie Memorial Hospital Authority board to meet
The Bowie Memorial Hospital Authority Board meeting will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 in the hospital board room.
Opening sealed bids for various properties owned by the hospital top the agenda. Sealed bids were accepted for the following properties: 1111 Lamb Street (old nursing school building); 804 Gray (laundry building); 213-223 Mason Street (thrift store); 1001 Rock Street (Heritage building); mineral leases and 705 Greenwood (hospital and rehabilitation building).
The board also will be updated on the status of other bids for the home medical durable equipment business/equipment; home health/hospice and equipment and fixtures bid, which will be opened on Dec. 7.
The agenda includes an executive session to discuss real property.
In other topics, Controller Kimberly Cooper will make a report and the minutes will be approved.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
