Diane Thomlinson was named the new executive director of the Bowie Chamber of Commerce Tuesday, and Jim Gilbow, member of the board, stepped into the president’s position.

Directors conducted interviews and made a selection to fill the job earlier in February, however, that person changed her mind and made plans to return to college. After another series of interviews, Thomlinson was selected and introduced to the board Tuesday.

Jim Gilbow also was introduced as the new board president, following the resignation of Van Baize on Feb. 29. Read the full story in the mid-week News.
