Speeding with weed: 3 Louisiana residents jailed with 9 pounds of weed

Three Louisiana residents were arrested on a traffic stop last week and a search of their vehicle yielded 13 bags of marijuana with a total weight of nine pounds.

Trooper Brandon Neff made the traffic stop on March 10 in the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 287. Public Information Officer Dan Buesing said the vehicle was stopped for speeding, however, the officer initiated a probable cause search of the car and found the marijuana in the trunk. Brief agenda awaits city council

Members of the Bowie City Council will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. on May 13 in council chambers.
