Bowie Knife unveiled to a large crowd

The Bowie Chamber of Commerce officially unveiled the World’s Largest Bowie Knife at noon today with a large crowd in attendance. Welcome was brought by the chamber of commerce, knife committee member and other officials. The city electric crew using a bucket truck removed the tarp covering the knife to showcase its more than 20-foot height. A formal dedication is being planned for June along with a possible official citation from Guinness World Records. See more photos in the weekend News. (Photo by Barbara Green)
