Saint Jo Council to consider city administrator
The Saint Jo City Council will have an executive session during Wednesday’s meeting for the purpose of creating a city administrator position.
This item was on the agenda last month; but alderpersons wanted more time to examine the possible position before making a decision.
The city has a full-time city clerk in Sherri Davis, and municipal court judge in Patty Hale. However, councilors have been compelled in recent months to look at adding a city administrator for more help handling city business.
Also on the agenda, is the possible new ordinance requiring property owners to provide and maintain culverts and ditches for drainage.
Council member Bryan Wolf asked to discuss spraying mosquitoes and selling old equipment – including a police cruiser, backhoe and fire trucks.
There also will be discussion and action on a request from Debbie Parker to set up a food truck on the Chisholm Trail Square to sell desserts.
The alderpersons will approve minutes from the April 13 meeting, review financial statements and pay monthly bills.
Before adjournment, various department heads will present written reports.
