on

As part of Bowie’s Project Celebration 2018 concerned Bowie citizens are having a major fundraiser on Oct. 21 at the junior high school from 6 to 9 p.m.
It will consist of a live auction, a silent auction and a haunted house. There will be games for all ages, a cake walk and concession. The live auction begins at 7 p.m. The event will not only be fun, it will serve a very good cause keeping Bowie’s young people safe.
Project Celebration is a combination of education and lock–in events conducted by educators, parents, and community partners to help keep students safe and alcohol free throughout the school year and especially during school-related celebrations. The goal of Project Celebration is to reduce the number of injuries and deaths caused by impaired driving.
Every year, the Texas Department of Transportation awards mini-grants which is used as seed money to help school officials, parents, and community partners sponsor Project Celebration educational activities and lock-in events
