The Stonewall Saloon in Saint Jo will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 11 to celebrate the completion of its second floor restoration project.
The second restoration of the historic building began in 2011 when the building was purchased and a list of structural phases began and a non-profit organizational board was formed for its operation.
The restoration work included: Making the building straight and sound again; extending the first floor, as well as the second story, including a staircase and a shaft for an elevator; public handicap accessible bathrooms; air conditioning and heat; a new floor for the old upstairs out of antique wood; an elevator; and a security system.
