Public hearing set for Redneck with Paychecks permit

The staff of the Montague County Sheriff’s office reports there will be a hearing concerning a Mass Gathering Permit application filed by Rednecks with Paychecks at 10 a.m. on Sept. 5 in the county courtroom in the courthouse annex.
This relates to the Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 751 Mass Gatherings, Section 751.006 ( c ). At the hearing, any person may appear and testify for or against granting the permit, which relates to gatherings of more than 500 people.
There reportedly were complaints about loud music from a stereo contest into the early hours of the morning of the last event.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter

Repairs prompt boil order

A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
