Rainfall dampens Thanksgiving holiday weekend

Heavy rainfall this past weekend put a damper on Thanksgiving activities as six inches of rain fell across Montague County.
At the City of Bowie Water Plant 5.08 inches were recorded from Nov. 26 through Nov. 30. That pushed the total for the month to 6.05 inches.
For 2015 the plant has recorded a total of 60.81 inches of rain, which is nearly double the average Montague County rainfall of 32.2 inches.
At the City of Nocona Water Plant a total of 6.07 inches was recorded through 10 a.m. on Monday creating a total of 7.68 inches for November. The city’s 2015 is 69.23 inches. Read the full story on the rainfall in the mid-week News.
