The Saint Jo city council will meet at 6 p.m. on March 9 at city hall located at 220 E. Howell Street.

There will be discussion and possible action on amending a weapons ordinance that may be connected to last month’s executive session on the matter.

Many cities have established policies connected with the new open carry laws in the state of Texas.

Jana Gaston wants to discuss a possible contract with the Saint Jo Public Library.

For the second straight month, since it was tabled in February, the council will discuss and possibly act on Paul Sampson’s request for water service outside the city limits.

Camille Crist will update the council on the Beautify Saint Jo project, with possible action stemming from discussions.

Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce President Dick Crist will give an update on April events.

Janet Bowman wishes to discuss Ladies’ Night Out set for April 14, and will include Julie Whitehead’s request to sell wine on the square for the event.

The meeting will begin with citizens’ comments.

It will conclude with approval of minutes from the February meeting, a review of financial statements, paying monthly bills, and reports will be given in writing from various department heads.
