Bowie ISD earns a strong audit report for 2013-14
Bowie School District Trustees received what its outside auditor called a “financially sound” report for 2013-14 with no exceptions or qualifications.
Stephen Gilland, CPA, presented the audit at Monday’s board meeting reviewing the highlights of the financial report. Read the full report from Monday’s meeting in the mid-week Bowie News.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
