29th Fantasy of Lights festivities launch Christmas
Bowie welcomes the Christmas holidays this weekend with the 29th annual Fantasy of Lights Festival.
While some of the traditional activities have changed due to the pandemic, there will still be plenty of festive fun for the entire family.
Festival weekend opens with the Snowman Sip & Stroll with Me from 5-8 p.m. on Dec. 4 in downtown. Guests are invited to purchase an armband that will enable them to enjoy refreshments of all types at the participating merchants.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
