RODEO: American Hat named official hat for high school rodeo

Published

on

The American Hat Company, based here in Bowie, has been named the official cowboy hat of The National High School Rodeo Association.

This announcement was made earlier this week.

American Hat Company becoming the official hat of the NHSRA signals a significant brand shift among young rodeo participants.

“The opportunity to partner with the NHSRA is a dream come true for the American Hat Company,” American Hat Company President Keith Mundee said in a press release.

“The high school kids unofficially adopted our brand five years ago,” Mundee added, “and we have been very grateful. Now it is our chance to give back to the association and provide some additional scholarship funds.”

Mundee is also the board president of the Bowie Chamber of Commerce.

American Hat Company makes hats with a special lacquer finish that allows people to wear them in the rain.
