Free health screenings, information booths planned
The medical coalition of Montague County invites everyone to participate in the community health fair from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Advanced Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Bowie, 700 U.S. Highway 287S.
Medical activities planned for the fair include free health screenings, Biodex fall risk screenings, immunizations for those who qualify, vision and hearings screenings, a blood drive, a mobile dental van, free mammogram appointments and free dementia area tours.
Along with those screenings, there will be many information booths including those for diabetic, hospice, Adult Protective Service and Medicare education.
Other booths will include the Bowie Police with free fingerprinting for the kids, Bowie Fire Department, free haircuts, McGruff the Crime Dog and Air Evac helicopter.
Bring the whole family and get a healthy start to the new school year in August.
The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
