Negotiations continue on hospital’s sale

Published

on

Negotiations are continuing for the sale of Bowie Memorial Hospital as the board awaits a letter of intent and contract from The Brough Group.

The hospital authority board will consider that letter from Dr. Royce Brough at its 5 p.m. Dec. 30 board meeting, along with several other items on a lengthy agenda.

BMH Chief Executive Officer Lynn Heller said the deadline was extended to noon Dec. 29 for receipt of those items.

The Brough Group was one of two bidders for Bowie Memorial, along with Texas General Hospital. The hospital board made a counter-offer to Brough on Dec. 11.
