Bowie City Council meets on Tuesday
The Bowie City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 23 in council chambers.
The agenda includes the following items after items of community interest:
City manager’s report – Preconstruction conference for phase two of the sewer line replacement program and raw water pump with Hazen Professional Services.
Second reading of the ordinance amending the mobile food vendors codes and deleting other portions.
Second reading of the ordinance levying an annual ad valorem tax rate for 2025.
Approve one candidate for Texas Municipal League Region V Director from a slate of two candidates.
Public comments.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
