HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Bowie girls, Bellevue boys up to No. 16 in poll

Published

on

The Bowie High School girls and the Bellevue High School boys’ basketball teams are both ranked in the latest Texas Association of Basketball Coaches poll.
The Lady Rabbits, fresh off a consolation championship at the 57th Annual Whataburger Tournament, moved up to 16th place in Conference 3A girls.
Bowie has a record of 16-5.
This marks the highest ranking the Lady Rabbits have received this season.
Bowie still has yet to be ranked this season in the Texas Girls Coaches Association poll.
Bellevue is the only boys’ team ranked, at No. 16 in Conference 1A. The Eagles have a 10-6 record, facing many schools from larger classifications.
This is also the best ranking Bellevue has received during the 2014-15 campaign.
Unfortunately, because of several tough losses in a row, the Bowie boys were dropped from the Conference 3A poll after three consecutive weeks in it. Read more in the mid-week Bowie News.
