HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Bowie overwhelms City View

The Bowie High School girls’ basketball team rolled to a 27-0 lead after one quarter en route to a 75-29 victory over City View in District 3A-9 action on Friday at Wichita Falls.
Courtney Brady made good on two 3-pointers and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line as part of her 20-point game.
Four Lady Rabbits in all scored double digits, with Addy Cook dropping in 14 points and Logan McMurray and Brittney Pound 11 points apiece. Pound also secured a team-best eight rebounds.
Overall, Bowie connected on 31-of-55 field goals, a scorching 56 percent.
Bowie played home against Boyd on Tuesday.

Richey headed to National Finals

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
